Good SEO and PPC marketers know that without the best keyword research tools, their campaigns have little chance of success. Fortunately, many have found that tool with Traffic Travis – a keyword research tool used by many of the most successful internet marketers, and one that has earned a heap of praise and hype. In this Traffic Travis review, I will take a look at some of its more salient features, and give you my estimation as to whether it warrants the praise it has received.
Before we being, it should be stated that Traffic Travis is not merely a keyword research tool. Some of its other functions include PPC, SEO, and Page analysis, as well as a host of other features that allow you to check page ranking, look for backlinks, and analyze your competition.
These “extras” aside, today I’m going to review Traffic Travis based on its Keyword Research tool as this is the core tool and the most important.
As you perform your first bit of keyword research, you are given the option as to how many keywords Traffic Travis will examine. My personal preference is to limit that number to 200 – though the software can handle as many as 200 keywords at once.
Once you’ve done your search Traffic Travis has a cool function that lets you sort your keywords into different groups (themes). You can also sort your keywords based on how many keywords in the phrase – for example, you can filter out all keywords with less than 3 words in the phrase. This tool is especially useful if you want to target long talk keywords.
Traffic Travis lets you see daily search counts for each and every keyword found not only for Google but also for Yahoo and MSN. I particularly like this feature because it allows you to discard a heap of keywords immediately. You can see at a glance the keywords which won’t provide enough traffic and the ones which have plenty.
There are both Free and paid versions of Traffic Travis, though the free version has extremely limited features and should just be considered a trial glimpse into Traffic Travis’s usefulness. In comparison, the full-feature power of Traffic Travis is only evident in the Professional Version.
Traffic Travis is always being updated with new functions and the latest search data. The latest tool it offers is a SEO Analysis tool. In this tool you type in a keyword that you want more data for. Traffic Travis will then pull up a list of the top ranked sites for that keyword and give you critical data such as how many backlinks the page has, the types of backlinks it has, and a bunch of on-page features that impact on search engine rankings. What this tool effectively does is let you see the competition your up against. You can pick apart your competition and know what needs to be done to overtake them. This tool is one of my favorites!
In looking at the overall quality of Traffic Travis, there is no doubt that it is easily one of the best keyword research tools I have encountered. Its additional features are just icing on the keyword research cake.
