More Rely on Word of Mouth Business to Make a Living

How would you like to operate a business where your labor is virtually free?  A person’s performance will determine the costs, if they make a sale, they receive a pre-determined commission.  If they don’t make a sale, they don’t get anything regardless of all the marketing work they did.  And there will never be any complaints about this arrangement… in fact; people will come to you in droves wanting to be a part of it.  You can have this and more if you create an MLM, the ultimate word of mouth business.

So, what is involved with starting an MLM?  First, you should ensure your enterprise can serve a word of mouth business structure.  If your industry is selling a product or a service to specialized niches, particularly those not a part of the general public, you’re not going to be successful with an MLM.

On the other hand, if you’re selling products that are appealing to the average person, (like Avon does), you can be wildly successful with MLM.  The same is even applicable with services, time to get really creative, as some services may be difficult to promote.  Depending on what your service is, and if your sales are derived from the Internet or not, you may have to incorporate affiliate marketing with your MLM.

Anyway, if your enterprise can handle being a word of mouth business, you must proceed to the next step: acquiring a set of customers who are more likely to promote your opportunity as MLM affiliates.  And the keyword here is promote, because the average customer is just going to take your product and leave things at that.  There’s no hard written rule to continue generating buzz for you.

In saying that, how would a new business entice customers who are willing to share their MLM opportunity?  If you have a website, you could create a link which allows customers to become, in effect an affiliate marketer by allowing them to sell your product.This will entice the entrepreneurs to you, without extra promotion at all.

However, if you don’t mind actively recruiting MLM affiliates, you could always post an ad in places where such individuals congregate, such as work-from-home forums, or Internet marketing boards.  This ad will become even stronger if you incorporate email marketing.  This is when you give potential affiliates promotional e-books, in exchange for granting them permission to send newsletters via email.  So, for them they get an e-book and a newsletter; for you, there’s an opportunity to promote once through the e-book, and an endless number of times through the email.

In conclusion, if you’re interested in creating an enterprise that can run on autopilot consider starting a word of mouth business through MLM.  You’ll make excellent cash while giving any individual a chance at financial independence and the American Dream.
